First Lines Friday

The 'First Lines Friday' Meme is a weekly theme whereby you chose any book at random off of your shelf (could be your TBR or currently reading) and you write the first sentence of that book into a post on your blog etc.  The idea of this is to see whether readers will be intrigued to read the book from reading the first line in the book just like most of us judge a book by its beautiful cover or a wonderful and extremely loved author.

Head over to Wandering Words to check out more details or ask any questions.

Confess, By Colleen Hoover

GoodReads | Amazon

                           Good reads synopsis
"Auburn Reed has her entire life mapped out. Her goals are in sight and there’s no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover Owen is keeping major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.

The last thing Owen wants is to lose Auburn, but he can’t seem to convince her that truth is sometimes as subjective as art. All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…"

I actually read this book last year (May 2015) and really really enjoyed it. I mean it is a Colleen Hoover book and all her books are absolutely brilliant so not really a surprise there. I did only give it a 3 stars but that's my average rating on most books (it has to be extremely great for me to give it 4 or 5 in my opinion as I feel 3 stars is average).  Nevertheless I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a light easy read :)
