Summer Biannual Bibliothon 2016 - Wrap Up

This Summer I decided to participate in the Baiannual Bibliothon 2016 readathon which took place 3rd - 9th July. I unfortunately did not read that many books and didn't complete all the challenges. However I did complete 3 and a half challenges (I'll explain the half in a second haha).

Basically I read The Reptile Room first which I quite enjoyed and rated it 3 stars all in all. Next I read Seconds which I really enjoyed. The art work was just wow and the plot was super weird but intriguing and I just found it super easy and fun to read. Finally I tried reading The Ugly Kids just to read something. It was only what? 50 pages or something stupid and it was an ebook which was even shorter haha. But it was so dull and boring and made no sense in my eyes so I just decided to give up (Why I said I complected half a challenge).

SO the challenges I completed were:

- To read a book free of choice (The Reptile Room)
- A book You've been putting off picking up - (Seconds)
- A book in a different format to what you usually read (Seconds)

The two challenges I half completed due to reading only half of The Ugly Kids were:

- A book including your favourtie mythical creature
- A book from an author you have never read

Full Reviews of the two completed books are here if you want to check them out

- Seconds by Bryan Lee O'Malley
- The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket

  1. I've been wanting to read Seconds for a while now. I haven't heard too many things, though. I'm looking forward to your review! I think you made the right decision dnf-ing The Ugly Kids. There's no reason to continue a book you're not enjoying at all. :D

    1. Yeah exactly, i feel reading a book your nt enjoying also makes me go on a huge reading slump so I'd rather not push myself to finish it you know?
