Top 5 Wednesday #4

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted through a group on goodreads whereby a topic is picked every Wednesday that is then linked to something book related. I've enjoyed taking part in weekly meme's and I really think they are a great way of making you really think about the previous books you have read!

This weeks topic is setting's you want to see more of. So here are mine in no particular order.

Small Island

I would personally love to see more novels written within a setting of a small island with a map provided in order to visualize the place better. I really enjoyed this setting when I was reading 'We Were Liars by E. Lockhart' and would love to see it more often in other books.

Futuristic

I havn't read many books based in the future however I would love to see it more often. I love the thought of reading different perpoles perspectives on what the future may or may not look like. I think it's a great way to get the mind thinking and just overall find it super interesting to see what people come up with.

Different Planets

So you know how the martian is based on the planet mars (I have not yet read this book by the way guys so please do not spoil haha) well I would love to see more books about different life living on different planets. I think it would be an interesting twist on 'aliens' or 'different species' seeing them in their own habitat if that makes sense? I don't know I just  think it would be a cool aspect to a book if it wasn't coming from a human persay but instead from a different species altogether and different world.

Rain Forest

The thought of a books plot being situated mainly within a rain forest makes me kind of excited. I think it would be a cool twist on different genres of books especially crimes/thriller/action books. If that just me I don't know? Plus I've never heard or read a book based within a rain forest so to me it's a pretty original idea. If you have, however, read or heard of any great books based within a particular rain forest please do let me know in the comments below as I would be super interested to check them out.

Out At Sea

By this I mean a setting on a boat or cruise or just anything set out at sea. I think this would be incredibly interesting and unlike anything I've ever read before. There not much else I can say about this cute a contemporary romance or a weird murder series would be SOOOO interesting if it took place somewhere out at sea. I mean come on how scary would that be, no way of escaping because your simply in the middle of nowhere!

- So these are my top 5 settings I want to see more of in books. Let me know what you think guys ðŸ˜„

- Let me know what you top 5 settings would be or if you have yourself participated in this weeks T5W let me know in the comments ☺️

  1. Oh, a small island would be cool! The only one I can think of is Lord of the Flies, which I haven't read yet. I think a murder-mystery would be a cool setting on a cruise haha.

    1. I haven't read that either but I'll have to definitely look into it.

Definitely, how cool would it be, it would make it so much more interesting I think because there is literally no where for anyone to run to. Be awesome!

  2. Wow I don't know why I didn't think of other planets. That would probably be awesome!
